Information Docket stores

Docket stores information you enter or import: member and contact details, interviews, temple recommend status, notes and checklists, record links, preferences, saved Assistant conversations, and note recovery versions. Any stored Assistant history should be treated as sensitive information. Treat questions, answers, and recovery versions with the same care as the records they describe.

Local storage and iCloud synchronization

Docket uses Apple's data-storage frameworks to keep a local copy on each device. When iCloud is available, records, saved Assistant messages, note recovery versions, and selected preferences synchronize through Apple CloudKit's private database for your Apple Account. This moves data off your device to Apple's iCloud service; Docket is not local-only. Devices must use the same Apple Account for this synchronization. This is not a shared bishopric account or a team database.

Docket works locally without an iCloud account and while offline. Changes transfer in the background when iCloud becomes available, so another device may not immediately show the latest changes. Apple's iCloud terms and privacy practices apply. Calendar accounts synchronize separately through their providers.

Information we collect

We do not receive your app records through a developer-operated record database or AI service. Docket has no developer-operated account system, behavioral analytics, advertising system, or tracking profile. If you email support, we receive your email address and whatever message or attachments you send so we can handle your request. Please do not send member records, private notes, conversations, or backup files.

PDF imports and calendars

Selected text-based directory, temple recommend, and action or interview reports are processed on-device; resulting records can synchronize through iCloud. Source PDF files remain wherever you saved them. With permission, Docket uses Apple's EventKit framework to display selected calendars and create or update events in a calendar you choose. Your calendar provider handles its own storage and synchronization. Interview notes stay in Docket rather than being copied into linked interview calendar events.

AI Overview and Docket Assistant

On compatible Mac, iPhone, and iPad devices, these features use Apple's available on-device language model. AI Overview provides an optional dashboard briefing. Docket Assistant is an information tool that answers questions about existing records and selected calendar events and summarizes notes. It does not create, edit, or delete records, interviews, members, or calendar events. Records are not sent to a developer-controlled AI service. When the model is unavailable, supported read-only questions can use local summaries. Availability depends on the device and Apple Intelligence settings.

Saved conversations and Assistant limits

Assistant questions and responses are saved with Docket data, can synchronize through private iCloud, and are included in exported backups. Turning Assistant off does not erase those saved messages. Use Clear Conversation in Assistant to delete saved messages; the deletion can synchronize to other devices. Clearing messages does not delete the underlying records or calendar events discussed in the conversation.

Docket Assistant is a conversational helper, not an autonomous agent. It responds to requests and does not independently plan or carry out tasks in the background. It does not write data, schedule events, create members or interviews, complete tasks, or make spiritual or worthiness judgments. Review answers against the original records before relying on them. Use Docket's regular views to make changes yourself.

Note recovery versions

Docket saves snapshots of notes for recovery. These versions can synchronize through iCloud and are included in backups. Deleting a note does not automatically delete its saved versions. Saved Versions restores a snapshot as a new note, preserving the current note. Versions are not a guarantee that every edit can be recovered and do not replace a separate backup.

Backups, exports, and restore

Exported Docket backups are JSON files and are not encrypted by Docket. They can contain member details, interviews, notes, preferences, saved Assistant conversations, other stored Assistant history, and note recovery versions. Store them securely and limit access. Files saved to iCloud Drive, another cloud folder, or a sharing service are handled under that service's practices. Device or computer backups may also retain app data under your backup settings.

Restoring a Docket backup replaces the current app records with the backup's contents and can synchronize those changes to your other devices. Export a current backup first if you need to preserve the existing data. Restoring an older backup can reintroduce information you previously deleted.

Deletion and retained copies

Delete individual records in their respective views and use Clear Conversation for saved Assistant messages. On Mac, Settings → Admin Center → Reset App Data removes app records, saved conversations, note recovery versions, and Docket preferences, and clears other local Assistant history. When iCloud synchronization is active, record deletions can propagate to other devices; reset is not limited to clearing a harmless device cache.

Uninstalling Docket does not by itself erase iCloud records, exported backups, source PDFs, shared copies, or events in your calendar provider. Manage those copies separately, including any retained device or computer backups. See the support page's deletion guidance. We do not operate a central account through which we can erase your private iCloud or device records.

Docket is an administrative tool. Docket is not associated with, affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is not an official Church record system. Record only appropriate information, secure your devices and Apple Account, and follow applicable Church policies for sensitive information. Docket is controlled by Rose Software Development Group LLC.
